What to Expect :
  • Have Fun!
  • Volunteer for 2-hour shift
  • 20-30 minute orientation/training
  • Follow food safety and quality policies as well as FMSC safety guidelines.
  • Most roles require standing for the duration of packing. (If a sitting role is required, please note this in the comment section on the volunteer signup-form or connect wioth one of the FMSC staff at the event and they will accomodate the need).

Please Note:

  • Volunteers performing warehouse functions are required to wear closed toed shoes.
  • Age requirements:
    • Children must be in 3rd grade and up to participate in the food packaging process.
    • Grades 3-6: 3 students to 1 adult
    • Grades 7-9: 4 students to 1 adult
    • Grades 10-12: 5 students to 1 adult
  • Feed My Starving Children advises volunteers with food allergies to exercise caution when determining whether or not to participate in food packing. A complete list of ingredients in FMSC's food products is avaliable, but we cannot guarantee what environments our ingreedients were manufactured in. Volunteers with extreem food allergies are advised not to pack
